Description: The state’s oldest chartered harvest festival, with live Cajun and "Zyde-cajun" music, Cajun food, shrimp cookoff, arts and crafts sale, fireworks on the river and the traditional Blessing of the Fleet. Over 100 craftsmen from all over the south meet with local artists to share ideas, showcase their unique works and sell their art. Louisianas oldest state-chartered harvest festival will take place during Labor Day weekend in a five-day extravaganza of familly entertainment. Continuous live music by local and national acts, a huge arts & crafts show and sale, Childrens Village, Cajun Culinary Classic, traditional Blessing of the Fleet and water parade, food and so much more!
