Description: The Festival is sponsored by the Scottish Society of the Louisiana Highlands. It is held on Scotland Farms in Minden, LA, where owner, Dr. Cameron raises Scottish Highland Cattle.

EntertainmentPerformers include traditional Scottish band, Smithfield Fair, Traditional Celtic group, Seamus Stout and Scottish-Irish American folksinger, Jed Marum along with numerous local musicians. There will also be performances by the Jackson Irish Dancers of Jackson, Mississippi and the Port Belly Project of Shreveport, Louisiana.
ActivitiesJoin us as we celebrate Scottish culture and heritage through living history exhibits, Scottish cattle herding, demonstration of the Highland games, Gaelic language seminar and bagpipe music. There will be a dog show competition, a children's area with hayride, Broadsword demonstrations, clan tents, genealogy, food and merchandise vendors.

I-20 from Shreveport:
Take I-20 East to Minden. Take the

Minden/Dubberly exit (Exit 49). Turn north as you

come off the exit onto LA Hwy 531. Travel about 3

miles. At the intersection of 531 and Hwy 79

(at Wal-Mart) turn right onto Hwy 79, keeping to

the left lane. Continue down Hwy 79 for about 2

miles, turn right onto LA 518 (there's a festival

sign). Down this road about 1/4 of a mile and

festival is to your right.
