The annual "Let Freedom Ring Festival" is being held at Peltier Park on Friday, July 4th from 8 AM - 9 PM. The free festival is sponsored by the Veterans of the Vietnam War, Inc., the Lorio Foundation, and the City of Thibodaux. Festivities include:
-Noon - 2:00 PM: Music by Treater
-2:00 PM: Opening ceremony (Singing of the National Anthem, Presentation of Colors, Raising of the Flag, White Dove Release, and 21-Gun Salute)
-4:00 PM - 5:00 PM: Music by La Roadhouse Band
-5:00 PM - 7:00 PM: Auction
-7:00 PM - 9:00 PM: Music by La Roadhouse -9:00 PM: Fireworks
* Other activities include: a bounce house, water slide, train, and free patriotic gifts for children. There will also be a military display.
