Description: | From 18th Annual Carnaval Latino Website: The celebration of Latin music, food, art and culture. Musical artists from several Latin American countries reflect the rich cultural diversity of Carnaval Latino and offer attendees a musical tour without ever leaving the city. Several popular local bands also perform during the fest. This year, the entire Latino celebration will be presented at the New Orleans Sugar Mill. Spain reconquers the French Quarter!
Besides an outstanding musical line-up, on Saturday at 6 pm, this years festival will feature the Fourth Annual Desfile de las Amricas. The Hispanic community and its neighbors will inject an International flavor to the New Orleans tradition of float parades. Each float will provide its own music, costumes and throws celebrating its national roots. Almost twenty floats, representing countries from the Americas, and an equal number of folkloric and marching groups will delight bystanders on this special evening.
